Who I am

I was born on Feb. 1, 1988, in Guadalajara (Spain). I was raised by a family of great people who taught me the importance of kindness, with all the breadth and responsibility that this word carries.

I was not the best student, although I was not the worst either. My loved ones said I was smart and could get excellent grades. But I don’t think I was exceptionally bright either, nor did I want to be.

I liked music and was good at singing and sports, especially when I had my growth spurt.

I was never the most popular, which was far from my intention. I had good friends who are still good friends, even though we see each other very little.

I have always loved cartoons, and to this day, I eat breakfast watching the adventures of Timon and Pumbaa. My favorite Disney movies are Aladdin, The Lion King (and Mary Poppins, Pocahontas, Tarzan, Merlin the Enchanter, Cinderella, Snow White, The Jungle Book, and all the others). However, Don Bluth’s Rock-a-Doodle is just as precious as all.

I studied the Social Sciences Baccalaureate but got bored with Philosophy, Geography, History, History of Art, and others. However, I passed everything by the skin of my teeth, including the university entrance exam.

I started studying Business Administration and Management to help the family business. But I got a zero in Statistics, and after three years of little evolution, I changed to Advertising Design and Multimedia Communication.

I was finally enthusiastic about studying, and I slept a few hours because of it.

I was chosen to be an intern in an agency. But I sang in a rock band and preferred to do my advertising internship there full time, creating each campaign from scratch.

I helped as an administrative assistant in a sports store and a graphic design assistant in a construction company. But I wanted a change of scenery and went abroad for a few months.

I came back to work as Media Director for a professional soccer club. And although I hadn’t done it before, it was nice. But music was my thing, and I left everything for it, building and designing a social project with which I sang in six countries of three continents.

I hurt my vocal cords, and I needed surgery. So I stopped singing, although I recovered without too many problems.

I continued designing as freelance, creating branding projects, websites and other visual pieces until 2021, when I started working in my current remote full-time job at UL Solutions Creative Studio; the recent winner of the ANA’s Silver Medal for In-House Agency of the Year at the Global ACE Awards in New York City (2023).

Now I’m in my living room at home, finishing this copy before going to the street market to buy fruit because persimmons are very good there.
